Wednesday Wants: SF Summer Weather Wear

Summer in San Franisco

Before you come to San Francisco, everyone always tells you to dress in layers. I know that you’re probably rolling your eyes (I was), but they’re right. One hour you can be sun drenched in downtown, then wind chilled to the bone with goosebumps the next hour. To be prepped for the fluctuating weather, here’s what I’d like to be wearing for my next day out.

Topshop Bomber Jacket — I remember when Topshop came to the US a few years ago. Until then, it had only been that exclusive UK-only brand that all the US fashionitas yearned for. A navy bomber like this one would be casual enough for a day in the park and dressily cool enough for a night out in a dimly lit bar.
Timo Weiland for Intermix Fringe Top — Fringe is in, if you haven’t noticed. I’ve never worn fringe (at least not that I can remember), so I think this’d be the perfect introduction. A little bit modern with it’s clean, cream color and just a little boho with the subtle fringing at the bottom.
Mansur Gavriel Large Tote Bag — Did you hear that the ladies behind Mansur Gavriel are now CFDA award-winning designers? They are. My mini bucket bag was my first “high-fashion investment piece”, so they’ll always have a special place in my heart. Next on my list is a large tote which would be perfect for carrying around a water bottle and stowing my jacket during the sunshine hours.
Starla Sandal via Loeffler Randall — Every time I see a Loeffler Randall shoe, I drool just a little bit. Buttery leather. Subtle prints. The tiniest of details. It makes me go wild. Even though these sandals are slightly similar to the ones I used to wear in elementary school, they’re a grown-up upgrade that would be cushy enough for a full day of walking around.
Topshop Buttoned Suede Skirt — After spotting a suede skirt on Song of Style, I couldn’t get the thought of owning one out of my mind. The minty/moss green blend of this one by Topshop would fit right at home with a grey, striped, or even a floral top. Most of all, it would be sturdy enough to withstand the SF breeze and any chance of a Marilyn Monroe moment.
Hat Attack Panama Hat via Intermix — If you spend time with me in real life, you know that no outfit of mine is truly complete without a hat. Another appearance from Intermix, but you can never really go wrong with a black banded panama hat.
